Overview: Located smack in the centre of Columbia Road, The Royal Oak is one of Bethnal Green’s best loved pub. With Columbia Roads bustling flower market on Sunday (8am-3pm), it’s a great place to duck in to escape the big crowds. Featuring original interiors and a warm welcome from the lovely staff its a great place to hang out for food or drinks. The downstairs bar is typically a hive of activity, upstairs offers a superb Sunday roast together with the best of British classics and an extensive drinks menu.

Random Fact:

The Royal Oak boasts cool, worn out features dating back to 1923. As a result, this old East London boozer has been used as a filming location for a number of TV series and movie scenes. You may have spotted the venue in both Kray twins movies, or the 90’s sitcom Goodnight Sweetheart!
