Hello, and welcome to PAAW House. We are so excited to finally introduce you to our site which we have been working hard behind the scenes for the last 12 months on. I would like to personally thank all who have already joined us and followed our adventures on social media as well as welcome those who are new to our club.
I also want to explain where we are at. My humans are super passionate about PAAW House and they want to make the world a better place for pets. Brilliant idea I think but I’ve had to explain to them that Rome wasn’t built in a day so let me tell you how it’s all going to work.
Let’s start with the rules, I’ve personally just got one – be kind to each other. My humans and the legal team tell me there will be more but I think my rule is a good one to start with. More of the rest of the rules all in good time.
We are a club with a purpose we believe that every pet has the right to a safe, loving home and every human deserves the right to love a pet. Our mission is to build a buzzing community of like-minded folk who value the importance of us pets in society. We want to create a platform to campaign for a change in attitudes and laws. Changes that will lead to recognising the importance of animals for companionship and emotional support. We also want to support all who continue to campaign for animal welfare.
Of course, we also need to have some fun so we will be introducing you to lots of goods, services, advice, gossip and opportunities to get together. We hope to eventually be a go-to for everything pet related. This however is the point where I’ve had to sit our humans down and whisper SLOW DOWN. As I said earlier, Rome was not built in a day!
We believe we have created a great clubhouse, but we are not quite finished with all the rooms yet. Our pressroom (PAAW Magazine), chat room (PetsNet) and campaign HQ are all open for business but we are still working on our Events Centre, PAAW Boutique and our Surprise Hideouts.
Finally, though PAAW House is a club for all UK pets we are a little dog-centric but fear not as I am already chatting to some of the top authorities in the cat, rabbit, guinea pig and goat world. As we also live in London, I have made this city our starting point, but we have made lots of new friends on our recent visits to Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds, and our travels have just begun.
